The Native American Tarot Deck

This set of cards really seems to evoke the spirit of the Native Americans. It uses images of Archetypal characters, ceremonies and rituals, beliefs and mythology in order to help the reader to access their intuition and 'read' the cards.

The deck is divided up in the same basic way as a 'standard' tarot deck with 22 cards in the major Arcana and 56 in the Minor Arcana. I have listed the way they relate below :

In the Minor Arcana listed above, The Native American Symbols are on the top line, followed by all the different things they correspond with on the following lines.

For Example: If the reading were to reveal a number of 'Shield' cards, then it would relate to the material aspects of ones life, home, career, finance, legalities etc. It would directly correspond with the suit of 'Pentacles' or 'Coins' on a traditional deck.

In The Major Arcana, listed on the left, 12 of the cards have the same names as those on a standard deck and 10 have different names. In each case although the names and the images may vary from deck to deck, the interpretations are usually the same. The cards and their imagery form a bridge allowing us to access our intuitive abilities.
